Industrial IoT

Industrial -  IoT Solutions

Why choose HIVASO for your Industrial IoT Project?

In many projects, industrial sites, already have an installed estate of legacy machines. In most situations, if you wish, we can also “IoT Enable” older, legacy systems, even if they do not have any obvious connection for a sensors.

This will then allow you to manage your existing systems along with any newer systems, and we can set up your management interface, such that you can monitor and control all your systems, using the same, single application.

We can go much further simply enabling the monitoring of system status messages. If required, and with the correct security controls, we can enable you to monitor and control the operation of machines, from anywhere, even your mobile phone.

If you have specialist requirements, then we can design and manufacture any required card or interfacing device required.

All technology projects are important, but in an industrial environment, an outage or issue, can mean that the factory or logistics chain, stops working. That’s why industrial IoT projects are of such a high profile in any company, and why experience and capability of the IoT engineers involved is so important.

IoT in an industrial environment can deliver significant cost savings and efficiencies, but the importance of a robust and secure end to end solution, is paramount.

We have worked on varied systems for example, from as varied as a nuclear organization, to one of the world’s largest oil & petroleum firms.

For details about these projects, please contact us, and where feasible we will broker an introduction to our customer contacts.

Real-Time protocol conversion

hardware certified for the widest range of countries

Open standards based sensors and gateways, with the widest range of global certifications. We will manage all global logistics, and export/import matters.

cloud options that avoid "lock-in"

Whatever commercial, opensource, or hybrid cloud technology you want, we can deploy and support you. We can migrate you between clouds, and design and build a cloud that allows you to avoid any technical, or commercial restrictions.

databases and applications

We recommend applications installed both in your cloud(s) and also on the IoT gateways, the latter adds resilience in case of WAN issues.

We can expand existing/legacy databases/applications, and design and deploy new databases/applications, or deploy any combination of legacy and new.

repurposing of existing technology

Repurposing hardware is usually less disruptive than replacing it. Similarly extending the useful life of existing databases and applications, can be useful, espcially where change needs to be achieved in a production environment.
In an ideal environment our IoT solution would consist purely of opensource software and open standards based hardware. However much of your design will be constrained by existing skill-sets, and supplier commitments.

Our philosophy is very much aimed at avoiding vendor lock-in, so that you have the ability to choose and make your own determinations about your long-term strategy.

on-premises "cloud"

You might want your sensitive data, to be routed to your on-premises cloud, and customer facing data to a commercial cloud, that has the ability to scale on demand?

commercial cloud

We can configure the on-site hardware to route data or machine metrics to multiple commercial (and on-premises) clouds simultaneously. Or even route one type of data Azure, and another type to AWS.

opensource cloud

Deployed by thousands. Proven production at scale. OpenStack is a set of software components that provide common services for cloud infrastructure.

hardware with the widest range of global certification.

agnostic

Whatever your requirements in terms of hardware, we will work with you to find the right platform.

avoiding lock-in

We suggest using an opensource development environment, to avoid being locked-in to any specific manufacturer’s products.

product shortages

We recommend using containers, so that you can install your edge applications on a wider range of manufacturers products.
