What happens when you ask a Reseller/Integrator  to quote?
If you are unfamiliar with how resellers/integrators source product then these first two paragraphs are essential reading. These two paragraphs explain how your request for a quotation is supplied by Resellers/Integrators. Manufacturers almost always sell product through a number of Technology Distributors. True Technology Distributors cannot legally sell to you as an end user customer. Instead they sell through a Reseller or Integrator. But it’s not that straight forward. Companies like yours will usually ask several Resellers/Integrators to quote for your requirements. Then each of these Resellers/Integrators will ask several Technology Distributors to quote to supply product or software. That can result in 20 to 30 requests for quotations going back (eventually) to a Manufacturer.
